Missing Profile in SBS 2008 Connect Computer Tool (http://connect)

I have been installing a SBS 2008 server this weekend for a client and I was having trouble migrating the profile from a few client computers using the connect computer tool(http://connect/). I followed all of the instructions online to fix the error, but the profile selection would still just display < none >.

It turns out that the problem I was experiencing was related to the profile marked as private. I found that the profiles would not show up if the volume is formatted in FAT32. Once I converted the volume to NTFS, the profile showed up and the Connect Computer tool worked like a charm!

All you have to do is run the following command:

CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS

"An invalid server name was specified" - Connecting To SBS via RWW

I recently ran into a problem connecting to a computer via RWW. I would get the error "An invalid server name was specified". I tried a few solutions and none of them worked. Here is what worked for me.

Step 1: Download "msrdp.cab" from your SBS server at the following location:

https://*your-server*/Remote/msrdp.cab

Step 2: Extract the contents of msrdp.cab to "c:\windows\system32\"

Step 3: In the run bar type: "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msrdp.ocx"

That should do it.

Remove Xbox 360 Family Settings

So a Friend of mine bought an Xbox 360 off of somebody that he worked with. He was moving and did not want to take it with him. The usual story. Regardless, We unhooked the original Xbox and hooked up the 360. One day I decided I was going to play gun. After I put in the disc, I get prompted to enter the family settings password. Hmm??? What could that be. I ask my friend, and he has no idea. Secret Question, "whats my favorite food?". Like I am going to guess that. So long story Short, this is how you bypass The Xbox 360 Family Settings.

Step 1: Go into Settings > System Info

Step 2: Carefully press the following buttons. ( It may take a few tries to get right, but it does work!)

Left Trigger, Right Trigger, X, Y, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, Left D-Pad, Left D-Pad, Left D-Pad.

Step 3: It will ask you if you want to restore the default settings. Click Yes.

Step 4: Rejoice!

And there you have it. Hope it has been useful.

Have a good day, night, morning, evening, maybe brunchhour?
